End of Summer 2015

We tried to get the most out of our summer, with lot's of adventures.

They look like real mannequins. Or so they think.

Longmont Museum always has a cool hands-on exhibit for kids.  This time it was Robots.

The kids and I spent a day on Pearl Street in Boulder.  Right when we got there, Zane got stung on the neck by a wasp.  Luckily, he shook it off and we still had a good time.

We finally took the time to watch a street performance

 Stopped by Boulder Bookstore
This sweet lady saw us and offered to take a picture of us reading
 Ate lunch outside
Then, on our way back, I let them free in the fountains

Backyard baseball. These guys can rock the balls right over the fence, even Smith.

I love this random made-up game they played. Who knows what it was, just a lot of random rules and gear.
Trip to the zoo, one of our favorite places.

My great aunt Marni came for a visit and stayed with us for a few days.  We met our cousins Charlie and Sam at the Museum of Nature and Science and went to an imax movie about whales.

We celebrated her birthday with donuts for breakfast and Red Robin for dinner.

Smith started a new obsession with Ninja Turtles this summer. He rarely wanted to play anything else.
Turtles with their shells (backpacks) on, fighting and training.
This is such a perfect summary of who the kids are right now.  Their answers to the question, "What jobs look interesting to you?"
We made it to the new Joy Park at the Children's museum a couple times.

Then we rode the trolley along the river

The big kids and I went to a movie with Marni
Zack took Zane and Em to a fun dinner and baseball game...
