Well, it's football season again. Zack is letting Zane cheer for any team he wants, and not brainwashing him at all! (I hope you can sense the sarcasm. :) Lately, he's been walking around saying "L.T. L.T." for Ladanian Tomlinson. What a fan.

Ode to Bobby
This is Bobby, Zane's best friend (pretty much). He was in our youth group, and has been graduated for two years now. Every time Zane "calls" someone on the phone he calls Bobby and says hi to him. When he hears a noise at the door, he asks, "Bobby??" When we drive to Monument and stop at our destination, he starts saying, "Bobby." He says his name absolutely perfectly, probably because practice makes perfect. :) We'll miss him because he's spending 6 months in New Zealand, but Zane will REALLY miss him!!
Eyes
Anytime a light goes on, or the sun shines in Zane's eyes, or if he just sees anyone's eyes, he says, "eyes" over and over and squints with the funniest expression. I try to catch it on video all the time, and finally sort of got it. I like when he does it for a long time, so cute!
Who's silly?
I left Zane with Judi one morning and when I got back, he knew how to say "me." When we ask him, "Who's silly?" or "Who's cute?" or "Who's funny?" he says, "mmeeee." He's also getting so amazing at saying words, like "pillow" in this video. :)

What does a chicken say?
I know, animal sounds are old news by now, but now instead of just saying the sounds with no expression, he's getting into it. So funny. Here is the chicken.
Day at the Zoo
We went to the zoo on Wednesday with some friends. It was so much fun because now Zane is old enough to know most of the animals and he loved seeing them and making all the sounds. He got to feed the giraffes crackers. He liked it, but was nervously giggling the whole time.
We rode on the carousel and he got really scared and grabbed onto my shirt with one hand and gripped the pole with all his strength with the other. Of course the ride lasted forever and Zane hated it.
Zane ran right into the cage, went straight for the goat and started petting it and grabbing his horns. The boy doesn't hold back!

Feeding the Dogs
We ate dinner at Judi and Bob's house the other night. You can tell by the picture who was feeding the dogs. At least there wasn't any food left to clean up at the end of the meal.
We hung out for a while, then went on a walk for about an hour and a half and Zane walked ALMOST the whole entire time. When we were almost home, he stopped dead in his tracks and just reached up and asked for Bob to pick him up. Bob had to carry him the rest of the way home.

A Fall Day at the Park
Random Moments
Zane makes such a big mess after every single meal and snack that we have to sweep at least 4-5 times a day. Zane is getting the hang of it, but hits everything with the top of the broom the whole time.At church last week, one of our friends from church, took Zane to go "see" his bike. The next thing I knew Zane was RIDING the motorcycle slowly around the parking lot with Dan. I literally almost passed out from fear and shock, but Zane was fine and had the time of his life.
The classic spaghetti and meatballs shot. And of course, he had to try to eat it with a fork to make it just that much more messy.
We got Z is own broom so he could help and he liked it for about 2 days and then started begging for ours again.
Lounging out on the front deck.

Oprah, Obama, and McCain
Zane can mimic just about anything we say. Here are a few examples...sometimes he just decides to use a word he knows that is close enough. We're trying to keep Zane up on pop culture. :)
