Christmas Part 1

Christmas is always fun, but when you get to spend it with a 5 year old, 3 year old, and 1 year old, it makes it a complete blast.  The whole month of December was so great, doing crafts, Advent, reading good books, baking, hanging out with friends and family.  We packed it as full as possible.  This post are some pictures from about Dec. 21st to the 26th.  On the next post, it's a bunch of pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas.  The rest of December pics are on the previous post or I'll post later. :)

Zack's parents, Gigi and Papa, came into town for the holiday.  We absolutely love spending time with them and are so thankful that they got to come to Colorado!  We got to spend some time with just them and for the rest they joined in as part of the big family.

We made gingerbread men (and women) one day.  Ed, my father in law, watched at first but then couldn't resist and jumped in to make his own.

Emmy made her girl with a dress with beads all along the bottom, a green bow, and long red hair.

We went to church the weekend before Christmas and had to get dressed up, of course!

On the 23rd, we spent the day at my Dad's house to celebrate with them.  Fun times playing and eating pizza!!

Cuddle time...

 Presents!

I love how Smith crumpled each piece of wrapping paper after he tore it off.

Here are just a few from Christmas Eve -

We drove to my Mom's house to spend a couple of nights.  My sisters and husbands were there too, which always makes it fun.

Zane spent about an hour working on a gingerbread house with his two grandmas.

Emmy made magic reindeer food to put outside.  I won't give away the recipe.
Zane wrote Santa's letter and got his snack ready.
We let them open a few presents on Christmas Eve.  They also got new pajamas.  Emmy loved her new Dream Light and new pink Toms!
 New blankets...

They all got head lamps...
And a new remote control car that Smith loved!!

Christmas morning...
I can't believe the kids slept in till after 7:00.  Then we all came down to stockings and gifts from Santa.   I think it's funny how calm they were!

All Zane had asked for from Santa for months before Christmas was a web shooter.  Now when he dresses up like Spiderman, he can really shoot webs or water. The only problem is that he basically can't play with it inside, because it gets everywhere.  But he was soooo excited.

Emmy loved her new dolls from Santa and her stocking.  She helped Smith open his too.

All of the rest of our Christmas Eve and Christmas pictures are on the next post!!

Emmy wrapped all of Molly's gifts and wrote her name on them.  Her and Zane also wrapped each other's gift and loved giving them.
A couple of day before Christmas, we spent some time in downtown Louisville.  The kids and I tried ice skating.  Only because when we walked by, we saw some friends there already skating and they offered to help me.  It was so much work, but they loved it of course.

I like this pic of Zane trying to give Emmy a hug and her yelling at him not to. Haha.
Emmy and Smith both got to ride in a little sled.  Our friend Michelle is an awesome skater and pulled them all around - others helped pull too!

Then, the day after Christmas we went to Pearl Street in Boulder.
