We started by dying eggs on Saturday morning. We made some crafty ones too, which were especially fun for Zane.

We went to church Saturday night...
Sunday morning, the kids woke up and followed the jelly bean trail to their baskets.

Opening their baskets
Later on, the kids and I went to a friend's house with some other moms and kids to eat brunch and hunt for eggs. I was glad to be invited since Zack was working all day.
That day was so freezing and overcast, that I didn't put them in their actual Easter outfits. We went with warmer clothes instead. The funny thing is that I never ended up having them wear them. They're still just hanging in the closet.
First egg hunt
Later that night, we had family over for dinner and an egg hunt.
Here's Zane giving the last of his directions for the big egg hunt...he loves being in charge.

At the end of the night, they were both worn out and decided to color in their new coloring books - they sat quietly and contently for about a half an hour.
