May

We decided to get caterpillars again this year, and we love watching them grow, make their chrysalises, and then let them go as butterflies.

This picture makes Emmy look like their mom. I love how she's taking care of Molly.

Grandma helped us let the butterflies go.

One landed on Emmy's hand and didn't fly away for a long time.  She said, "He just had to wait for the perfect timing." She was so happy he stayed with her a while before he left.
 Tickle fight!
The kids spent two days with my Mom and Dave last week. When they are with Grandpa Dave, there's a lot of adventure and action.  They were up in the garage rafters, finding all the baseball gear. They rode bikes, played baseball, tennis, watched movies, played games, etc etc. So much fun!
These two have had summer fever for a while now. They are just completely content being at a park or playing in sprinklers, etc.

For Mother's Day, Smith and his little preschool friends served us cookies and tea.  He was so beyond cute, being a little gentleman and taking care of his Mommy.
We are ready for lot's of bike rides this summer!
Mother's Day dinner - silly kids table (and Aunt Susie in the background)
Some of the adults - all watching Zane eat his enormous ice cream sundae he made for himself.
We took pictures to get the kids their ski passes for this year.  They get free passes and that includes 6 free days and 2 free days of lessons and gear!  WOW. I'm excited.

Tough guys.  When it rains for a week, you just have to pretend you're swimming inside.

Emmy is reading more and more. She was reading this book to Smith and Molly.
We got a new couch and rug to brighten up our room a bit. All three kids claimed their "special spot" right away and luckily it worked out perfectly.  You know, the important things in life.
This was the start of me organizing our desk and art supplies.  There was a ton more.  I am obsessed and addicted to buying office, art, and school supplies.  The teacher in me, I guess.  But it gets to overwhelming and cluttered.  I completely organized it and it feels amazing. WE can actually find the things we want to do now.
Emmy got her own mixer for her birthday. Her and Smith made some cupcakes all by themselves. Thanks Aunt Jord and Uncle Ben!

Smith could listen to music all day long.  He is such a big music guy.  We made him his own list of songs that he can listen to - he controls it himself and loves it.
Emmy working hard on finding the fossil...
Sweet little buddies. We were dropping Smith off at school and these two held hands the whole time.
 Secret selfies...

Emmy got so many cute art projects for her birthday. She built and painted this bird house all by herself.
When Zack went out of town, we went straight out for ice cream.  We used our free cone coupons from last year's reading program.
Zane and Em went to their cousin Sam's birthday party at Hammond's Candy Factory.  They got to tour it and then make their own candy.
 Couch shopping is hard work.
These three have found one game on Wii that they can play together.  Its so cute when they all get along and snuggle in together.

 Puppet show...
Zack did a wedding down in Colorado Springs.  It was absolutely beautiful...
