Onto First and Third Grade

The kids' school had a few cute end of the year activities. Emmy's Kindergarten event was a big performance for the parents.  They practiced a ton and were really excited to share with us.

I love this pic, in rain boots, so we always remember the insane rain the we had the last two weeks of school.  She was READY for her big performance.

Second row from top, second from right.  She looked so serious. Later, she told us she got stage fright.
Judi and Bob joined us, to celebrate this sweet girl.

I had to take a quick "look alike" picture of Zack on his Kindergarten graduation day and Emmy on hers.  They both had a "teddy bear picnic." I think their faces look so much alike!!

Emmy with two cute friends, Cecilia and Caitlin
Emmy ended up having three teachers this year - long story, but Mrs. Workman went on maternity leave and decided not to return, and her long term sub Mrs. Gourley got sick and had to get surgery and chemotherapy.  Finally, Mrs. Lehrer, here in the picture, took over for the end of the year.  She was very sweet and Emmy liked her.  Goodbye Kindergarten! Let's hope for only one teacher next year.
Zane had a big last day party for his whole grade. Here he is doing a "minute to win it" activity.
Mrs. Stone was great. She really challenged Zane and gave him opportunities to learn at his level, which we loved.
And our baby, (don't tell him I said that), Smith, only went to school on Friday mornings this year, but he loved his teacher, Mrs. Z. Next year, he'll go to Apple Tree on Tues and Thurs mornings.
